In its competitive analysis of the market for "Secure Email Gateways", the analyst firm Radicati Group has recognized the information logistics provider Retarus as the "Trail Blazer" with the best positioning. In the transition to "Top Player", Retarus has moved even further up the rankings compared to the last assessment at the beginning of the year. Providers with this classification are characterized above all by innovative technology and the potential to change an industry in the long term.
The latest Radicati report particularly emphasizes Retarus' strong multidimensional offering, which meets the needs of companies of all sizes. The analysts emphasize that Retarus operates an attractive email security portfolio in an efficient enterprise cloud, which includes innovative services such as email continuity.
Added value email continuity
According to Radicati's analysis, Retarus' newly launched Email Continuity Services represent an important added value for companies when implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. After all, email is the most important communication channel for companies, ahead of telephone and fax. Therefore, outages must be avoided at all costs. Retarus Email Continuity Services ensure seamless email communication even in the event of total failures of the customer's email systems, for example due to cloud downtimes or data center outages, by allowing affected companies to switch flexibly to the platform, which is constantly running in the background, at any time. Retarus Email Continuity Services fulfill important criteria for successful disaster prevention. For example, there is no need for a time-consuming start-up of a backup system and the services run independently of the technology used in the company, for example Microsoft Exchange. With its Email Continuity Services, Retarus serves companies of all sizes. One pilot customer has 120,000 users connected to the system.
Additional safety dimension
According to Radicati, Retarus Email Security' s patented Post Delivery Protection "Patient Zero Detection"® creates an additional security dimension that successfully protects recipients from damage caused by malware in emails that have already been delivered. From the fourth quarter of 2019, Retarus will provide customers with additional value-added services: Patient Zero Detection® Real-Time Response processes findings determined by Patient Zero Detection®. This allows, for example, malware-infected emails found in the infrastructure to be automatically deleted or moved to a special folder for analysis.
Radicati's experts also discuss the web-based Enterprise Administration Services Portal, which enables Retarus customers to configure their services quickly and clearly. In addition, according to the analysts, it offers the fast and easy-to-use "Email Live Search" real-time search with analyses and IT forensics functions. Within this framework, Retarus provides for example forensic data for customer SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions in real time.
Other Retarus Email Security functions such as Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) with sandboxing, Deferred Delivery Scan, Time-of-Click Protection (URL rewriting) and CxO Fraud Protection (anti-spoofing and -spear phishing) as well as flexible access management and encryption were already positively highlighted by Radicati in the last report.
